End of an Era
For Anderson Audio, 2017 was a calendar full of shows and new opportunities. It was the first time in our company's history that we had involvement with a national touring artist, and that artist happened to be Tom Petty and his band the Heartbreakers. Thanks to our friends at Sound Image in southern California and our biggest advocate, Eastern Acoustic Works, even being a small part of such an epic event was thrilling to us. While we got to test our skills with our latest and greatest Adaptive technology, we also learned a lot along the way. Not only was this an experience of a life time, it was a huge stepping stone for our company's growth. Our owner, Chris Anderson, joined the tour and crew at the Hollywood Bowl to close out this incredible journey and to celebrate this personal milestone. Sadly, a week later, the death of Tom Petty had everyone in genuine disbelief. Today, on what would have been Tom Petty's 67th birthday, we would like to express to his family, friends, everyone involved with the band, the tour, the crew, all of the people that were close to him, our most heartfelt condolences.
